Delivered from Demons!
Testimony by Pastor Png Yoke Hoon
My conversion took place in June 1973 when I was 18 years old. I got to know that my best friend had become a Christian overnight. So one day, I went to ask her how she came to know Jesus. But instead of sharing about her conversion, she challenged me concerning my involvement in Taoist medium work, as I was then helping my father who was a medium. It was something which I had been doing since I was 15 years old. I believe my friend must have been led by the Holy Spirit when she challenged me to try out Jesus to see if He was the real god. That was spot on because prior to this, I was questioning my future and the authenticity of Taoism. I decided then to try out Jesus and I accepted Him as my personal Saviour.
The demonstration of the reality and the power of God came very soon. During a church service, suddenly there was a violent manifestation of demons in me – this was something which took me totally by surprise! Six pastors prayed over me for at least three hours, and I was finally set free by the power of God when He spoke these Words into my heart – “for the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4)”.
Following this, I joined a Student Camp as I hungered to know more about Jesus. On the final day of the camp while I was walking on the beach, I saw a dead fish washed ashore by the waves. I held the fish in my hand and at that moment, I felt the strong urge within me to believe that God have the power to bring life back to that fish! This incidence convicted me that God has the power to restore lives that are wrecked by the devil who came “to steal, to kill and to destroy" (John 10:10). And before my water baptism on that day, God in His miraculous way had placed a divine call on my life to be His missionary. I stand here as living evidence that there is power in the Name of Jesus. Truly, in the Name of Jesus, demons are cast out!

我的皈依发生在1973年6月，当时我才18岁。我知道我最好的朋友一夜之间成为了基督徒。所以有一天，我去问她是如何认识耶稣的。
但她没有分享她的皈依，反而向我挑战关于我参与道教媒介工作，因为我当时正在帮助我的父亲，他是一名媒介。 这是我从15岁开始就一直在做的事情。当时她挑战我去试探耶稣，看看他是否是真正的神，我就相信我的朋友一定是被圣灵带领的。 这是准确的，因为在此之前，我一直在质疑我的未来和道教的真实性。然后我决定尝试耶稣，我接受他作为我个人的救主。
实相和上帝大能的示范很快就到来了。在一次教堂礼拜中，我突然有一种魔鬼的暴力表现——这让我完全感到惊讶！ 六位牧师为我祷告了至少三个小时，当神在我心里说这些话时，我终于被神的大能释放了——“因为在你们里面的比在世上的那一位更大（约翰一书4：4）”。
在此之后，我参加了一个学生营，因为我渴望更多地了解耶稣。在营地的最后一天，当我在海滩上散步时，我看到一条死鱼被海浪冲上岸。我把鱼握在手里，那一刻，我内心有强烈的冲动，相信上帝有能力让那条鱼恢复生命！
这件事使我确信，上帝有能力恢复被魔鬼破坏的生命，魔鬼来“偷窃、杀戮、毁灭”（约翰福音10：10）。在那天我接受水的洗礼之前，上帝以他神奇的方式，向我的生命发出了神圣的呼召，要我成为他的传教士。如今我站在这里作为活生生的证据，证明奉耶稣的名有力量。真的，奉耶稣的名，魔鬼被赶出去了！
