Following in the Footsteps of Jesus

As the message progressed this morning I felt a certain unexplainable peace that gathered in my heart as Ps Daniel spoke. I believe it was the gentle soothing work of the Holy Spirit. 

In fact, I dare say it would not have been possible to preach this message without a life in the Holy Spirit by the man himself.

The main biblical reference for this morning’s message was taken from Luke 4:18.

Ps Daniel did not go through a list of points but brought the congregation to, if I may say, ‘taste’ the Holy Spirit. And that in itself is a demonstration of the power and authority vested in the message.

He shared at length how Jesus Himself relied on the power of the Holy Spirit although He himself was God. Hence if we are to follow in His footsteps then likewise we are to let the Holy Spirit work through our lives.

Ps Daniel talked about the authority and power vested in our lives through the Holy Spirit and we do not try to quench Him trying to impose our own understanding of the Holy Spirit. Instead we should allow the Holy Spirit to be the lord of our lives.

Ps Daniel remarked that Jesus knew His suffering and what was coming for Him and so He prayed that “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Ps Daniel hoped that more of our prayers should be like this.

So do we have the power of the Holy Spirit’s presence? He shared a few examples and one of them is buying 4D which might have been done by some of us in the past but is now frowned upon by the Holy Spirit and we know that.

And most of us also know that the best way to experience the Holy Spirit is to share the gospel with others.
