With Christ I Conquer!

I was so absorbed with Suan Lam’s testimony so much so that if I had not seen the outline of his message that was sent to me earlier, I would have to go back to his slides to hunt for that one gem afterward.

But our God worked in such a miraculous way that he focused my attention on that verse, Colossians 3:23, as I was going through his script sent to me earlier. Why do I have that privilege? It was because I was chairing this morning’s Sunday worship session so I was privy to the script earlier. I was thus able to be thoroughly absorbed in his sharing.

It was certainly powerful for he shared from his heart in a very casual and informal style that had the congregation spellbound. It was his heart to our hearts.

Colossians 3:23 says “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Yes, it is all about Him and when we hold Him as our basis for our efforts, we will find that is reason enough for we are only accountable to Him.

When you have one student whose love for the Messiah shines through like that, you cannot but remain humble and in awe of the Almighty, for you know it is not your works but His alone. You just smile with tears and gratitude.
