Church is a Shining Bright Star

An impactful sermon need not be lengthy and Pastor Esther showed how it was done in this morning’s message.

As I listened to her, my focus gravitated to the cheery title and I felt I at home. The message was comforting but also had a serious reminder that in order for us to constantly bear fruits we must remain with our true vine, Jesus.

I must remember that the church offers me a medium, for lack of a more appropriate word, to bear fruits for the Lord. I must appreciate this God-rendered arrangement and not to be smug to disown my true vine. I must tell myself not to be too clever or I may suffer the consequences of disowning my true vine.
