Title: The Power of Prayer
The Power of Prayer
What was most apt for me was the statement ‘no one graduates from the school of prayers’.
That indeed sums up our prayer life if we want to graduate to glory to be with Him eternally.
The other statement that caught me was not from the sermon itself but from the chair of the day, Sheue Horng. She said most of the times when we pray, we hold on to our own thoughts too much. That struck me, as, although we may be praying for a solution, we already limit God when we sort of figure out a solution for Him to make it happen. And then in the same breath, we utter ‘let thy will be done’.
I know it’s not an easy truth to live with but it’s important to learn to let go when we pray.
