How do we seek and follow the Lord?
The pastor mentioned that basically there are 3 groups of people seeking to know the Lord:
- the Jews in the old days when they made up strict laws and regulations
- those who seek Him because they want earthly benefits
- those who seek Him because they just love Him
I was bugged by his question ‘which type are you?’
If I examine myself and be truthful, my answer would be I am motivated by an eternal life and in putting my belief in Him, all ‘these things’ will be added unto me. I guess ’these things’ may include worldly wealth.
I don’t think I have reached that stage where I seek Him because I love Him and is willing to lay down my life for him.
But then again, in this daily walk with Him, you might never know when that would happen.
