Seeker has no lack

No lack la!

This morning’s message, based on Psalm 34, is one that most would find it hard to break up to understand better. It’s so well woven that you must take it whole, as aptly summarised by the chair, Sister Yoke Hwee, that ‘almost the whole counsel of God was preached this morning’. Yes, it’s that impactful! And it was in Chinese, my ‘half language’. 

What impacted me most is the integration of (v 1-3) Praise of Psalmist, (v 4-7) Testimony of Psalmist and (v 8-10) Exhortation of Psalmist.

(V 1-3) All can seek Him whatever your background, from Kings to the rest of us. This is a God that don’t give two hoots who you are. It’s just Him and me. No need to go through a 3rd party.

(V4-10) Often, after having gone through our darkest moments when we are seeking Him, and when we look back in retrospect and be true to ourselves, we find that our needs in those moments aren’t exactly what we need to set things right. It’s because He knows best what we need when we seek Him during those critical moments and with that, He is able to carry us through our life’s obstacles.

This is a testimony of his all embracing love; a love that is tailored to us individually. To me it speaks of a love that still allows us to be ourselves, in full knowledge that we can bask in that love. It’s a knowledge that the Most Powerful has our back!

It means no lack lah!
