Preacher: Ps Daniel Foo
Title: Think Outside the Box
Think Outside the Box
To name a message which is in line with the Church’s annual theme of ‘to continue the work of Jesus’ as ‘Think outside the Box’, is indeed doing just that.
Ps Daniel started by going through a list of what believers ought to do to follow Jesus’ footsteps. This same list is reproduced below:
| Actions | Implications | Biblical references |
| Live as Jesus lived | A single grain of wheat | John 12:24 |
| See what Jesus saw | Compassion | Matthew 9:36 |
| Speak what Jesus spoke | Proclaim the Bible | Matthew 9:35 |
| Hear what Jesus heard | The voice of God the Father | John 5:30 |
| Do what Jesus did | Do the works of the Father | John 5:17 |
The list is of course anchored by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Underpinning the title of the message is Jesus’ wisdom and Ps Daniel’s biblical references stem from 1 Cor 1: 22-24 and 30. Wherever possible Ps Daniel substantiated with anecdotes and testimonies related to his work and it is not hard to see God’s hand in all of those testimonies.
Ps Daniel then gave examples of Jesus’ wisdom and these are reproduced below.
