The Church God Desires

The first message of the new year was delivered by the Senior Pastor herself. It is a development of the church theme for the year.

To me it is timely to face the question squarely ‘what kind of church does God desire?’ It is a very important question for the answers serve to underpin what we do as a body of Christ and our spiritual growth depends on it. And for believers, that is often our starting point.

From God’s perspective the Church was bought with the blood of His own son, Jesus. 

In summary, Pastor Png sees a church where its believers serve together, give together out of a heart of love and grow together.

My gem from her message is ‘the church is a spiritual hospital’. To me it doesn’t mean that its members are sick but it is a reminder how easy it is to get spiritually sick in this sick world. Hence it is important to be in constant touch with a ‘hospital’ so that our spiritual healing can take place.
