The Unseen Warfare

Just when I thought I needed to wait another month on Pentecost Nite to continue the theme of deliverance, God continued his message of deliverance through Pastor Loretta this morning. How sweet his timing and how He seeks to align our lives to His. Ps Loretta sought to help the congregation overcome the battle of the mind and heart through her message. I know I can never win this battle on my own strength.

It was an intense message with many nuggets of gem and for me it is especially poignant as I had often been caught in wandering, unrestrained evil thoughts. These are ‘strongholds’ which Satan uses to bind us from our Saviour. Talking about the timing of God and how I needed to have deliverance from this mental warfare!

One way that Ps Loretta shared on how to demolish the fortified strongholds of the evil one was to ‘humble ourselves before God and expose our strongholds’ and to ‘Let others expose our strongholds’.

Both are not easy to do especially when Satan’s strongholds on our lives include pride. But if we want to align our lives with God, stay close and stay the course, then there is only God’s way and that is to humble ourselves and to declare our ‘strongholds’ or should I say ‘strangleholds’ to Him.
