The Way

This morning’s biblical reference for Ps James’ message was taken from Proverbs 30:18-19. However, due to time constraint, he only focused on the eagle in the sky and a snake on the rock.

A believer’s spiritual development is akin to that of an eagle in the sky. To me I feel that much of it is also God meeting us half way in our walk as he talked about the presence of God, how healing is manifested and how workers are sent out to bring more into His fold.

On the ‘serpent upon a rock’, much of it is centred on Christian and spiritual warfare. I like the illustration provided by Ps James that although some wayward humans may leave a trail like a snake crawling through sand, some may leave no trail at all, like a snake crawling on a rock. So as Christians we are to discern. Anyway the hand of Satan is tied by the limitations God has set upon him. Still it is incumbent upon us to know our enemies, pursue our love for God and keep ourselves strong in the Lord.
